Tired of tracking down your favorite food truck as it wanders the streets of St. Louis? Thanks to an agreement between St. Louis County and the St. Louis Food Truck Association, food trucks will be rolling into Faust Park once a month through October.
The St. Louis Suburban Journals reports that "Keep on Truckin" will start in on July 26. So far, 14 trucks have been scheduled to visit the park on the the fourth Thursday of each month, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The trucks will also make apprearances at Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights and Tilles Park in Ladue.
Sauce Magazine started the dining in the park trend with its Food Truck Friday's in Tower Grove Park last summer. More than a dozen St. Louis food trucks sell food from sushi to cupcakes to hungry park patrons.
Jim Foley, cultural site manager at Faust Park, told the Suburban Journals that the Butterfly House would stay open late on food truck night. He also said the agreement between the trucks and the county allow the trucks to visit most county parks at any time, so long as they schedule their visit in advance.
For example, two trucks served food at a recent Faust Olden Days of Summer children's event.
