Sauce Magazine started the dining in the park trend with its Food Truck Friday's in Tower Grove Park last summer. More than a dozen St. Louis food trucks sell food from sushi to cupcakes to hungry park patrons.

Jim Foley, cultural site manager at Faust Park, told the Suburban Journals that the Butterfly House would stay open late on food truck night. He also said the agreement between the trucks and the county allow the trucks to visit most county parks at any time, so long as they schedule their visit in advance.
