Free Soups and Leap Year Bonanza from STL Bread Co.

Businesses named for freebie soup and donations to pantry garners soup for all of us.

Even though St. Louis’ winter has been mild so far, there are surely still more chilly days to come. To get through the mid-week winter blues,  launched a new program Feb. 1.

Warm-Up Wednesdays is a new program where free soup is given to area businesses, community groups, construction site workers, volunteers, and others throughout February.

The St. Louis Bread Co., headquartered in Sunset Hills, is asking citizens of St. Louis to nominate those who they think deserve a Warm-Up.

Use Twitter and Facebook (tweet @panerabread.com with #warmupwednesday or write on Bread Co.’s Facebook wall).

Bread Co. will then use the recommendations and warm up selected businesses each Wednesday of the month.

Also, on the final Wednesday (Feb. 29), Bread Co. is asking customers to warm up the entire city of St. Louis.

Customers bring in three non-perishable food items that day, for a free bowl of soup.

The donated food items go to Operation Food Search.

Chesterfield has three St. Louis Bread Co. sites—Clarkson Rd. near Baxter, Clayton Road at Baxter, Chesterfield Mall.
