Summer's End: School Starts, Pool Hours Reduced

The last show for the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series is also set for Tuesday.

Start your week off with this helpful list of events, notices and other happenings in Chesterfield and the surrounding area. 

1) Another harbinger of summer’s end — amended hours for the Chesterfield Aquatic Center. Beginning Monday, the facility will be open Monday-Friday 4-8 p.m. and admission will be half-price.

2) Students in the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts return to class on Tuesday, but fall sports tryout camps and practices open up on Monday. If your child plans on playing, they need to have their paperwork and physicals done and out of the way before they can participate.

3) The Rockwood School Board meets on Thursday and the agenda will include an update on the beginning of school as well as a vote on a plan to raise premiums, deductibles and co-pays for the district’s self-funded health insurance program.

4) Tuesday will mark your last chance to take in a show as part of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series. Billy Peek will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at Faust Park with food trucks providing dinner starting at 5:30 p.m.
