The American Girl (AG) store at Chesterfield Mall is still on track to open in April, by the look of the work. Major exterior changes to the corner building, which was previously a restaurant, are complete, workers said last week. Now the interior is up for completion. And stocking it. The exclusive St. Louis area AG doll store has been much anticipated by fans of the line. The company is based in Chicago. The store will include a bistro. The old Wapango restaurant is gutted at Chesterfield Mall, and renovation is started on the site to bring the 12th American Girl store in the nation to Chesterfield. The pricey doll-themed store and party/event place is set to open in Chesterfield by Spring.
