The Parkway West sophomore who suffered a brain hemorrhage and other injuries during a car accident earlier this month is out of intensive care. Alison Owen remains a patient at St. Louis Children’s Hospital but since moving out of the ICU on Feb. 12, she has been undergoing physical therapy and making good progress, according to Owen’s profile on CaringBridge.com. Owen’s injuries, including broken vertebrae and bruised lungs, were the result of a car accident in Chesterfield Feb. 1. A Parkway West High School sophomore is receiving an outpouring of support from her fellow students following a car accident on Friday that left her with a brain hemorrhage, broken vertebrae and bruised lungs. According to student newspaper The Pathfinder, sophomore Alison Owen suffered the injuries after a vehicle she was in hit two trees Feb. 1. A St. Louis Children's Hopsital official confirmed Owen is a patient at the facility.
