Some of the parking lot is paved, and some windows are in place.
For this week of August 6-10, Schnucks has put in green sod along the 10-foot tall fence bordering residents' yards, curbs along paved parking lots, and glass in windows. The interior still looked dark from a distance.

Construction progress obvious at busy intersection.
A Schnucks grocery store under construction on a former residential lot at Kehrs Mill and Clarkson Road now has a roof, and an entrance off Clarkson Road. Wedged onto a V-shaped despite protests by neighbors whose homes back up to the now-parking lot, Schnucks has made remarkable progress toward opening the store this summer. The store fronts on Clarkson Road, but it appears the majority of customers would enter on Kehrs Mill, through the parking area. Schnucks has described the new store as "boutique" due to its smaller size than others, and that it would likely tailor its product line to local consumer tastes. The new Schnucks location would likely draw consumers from nearby Clarkson Valley, Chesterfield, Ballwin, and possibly Ellisville.

Officials called it a "boutique" style store that would cater to the neigborhood, and it was considered somewhat smaller than some of its sister stores around town. It's located in Ballwin, on the borders of Chesterfield and Clarkson Valley. The walls were going in by crane this week, and workers were tidying up the expanded intersection. A PNC bank and Marquette High School are on other corners at the intersection. sw3Homes are across Kehrs Mill from the store, and homes are also right next door to Schnucks, in the "V"-shaped lot. How does the project look like to you? Tell us in …
