With the advancement of the electronic technology and the subsequent boom, Barnes & Noble is anticipting a drop in book buying over the next decade. Barnes & Noble reported a 10 percent drop in sales for this December over last year. In order to countermand that, the national chain will close 30 percent of all of its stores. Initial reports have not contianed any details on which stores are likely to close, but there are eight in the St. Louis area, including one in Chesterfield at on Clarkson Road.
