Ask the Patch Pro: Seeking Local Dentists

Patch is looking for experts who can talk teeth and offer their expertise this week.

This week on Halloween, kids across the nation will go from house-to-house with one goal: Fill their bags with as much candy as possible.  Since an abundance of sugary treats will most likely invade our homes the next few days, we want to discuss healthy teeth and dental hygiene.  We want to find the answers to all your dental questions this week, but we need a little help. In the latest edition of "Ask the Patch Pro" we need local experts who can answer readers' questions and offer advice. Faust Park Candy Cane Hunt Brings Holiday Joy to Kids

More than 300 children swarmed the Historic Village at Faust Park searching for candy canes hidden by the Carousel Reindeer.

Children's excitement for Santa Claus to come to town is growing as Christmas nears. The annual Candy Cane Hunt in Faust Park Saturday gave kids a chance to act on that excitement. More than 300 children bundled in hats, coats, scarves, mittens and boots—some even wrapped in blankets—lined up, patiently waiting the go ahead to swarm the Historic Village for the hidden candy canes. More than 11,000 candy canes were hidden for the sold out event. Some had stickers attached for prizes and rides on the St. Louis Carousel. Many kids went home with more candy canes than they could fit in their mouths. The event gave Lucas Chaney the chance to try his first candy cane. While waiting for his mom to return with his prizes, the 2-year-old from Del …
