We got a number of good nominations for the best West County place for wings. With the Super Bowl just around the corner, we thought this would inspire your taste buds.
Welcome to phase II of this week's West County Food Fight, where it's time for readers to peck out their vote for the best hot wings in the area. We thought Super Bowl week would be a good time to chirp about wings. Readers will have until 5 p.m. Friday to vote for their favorite spot, and we'll announce the winner Saturday morning. We had a healthy round of voting in this week's Food Fight competition. Clearly, readers have their favorites, but one spot was the definite leader.
Congratulations to Chick-N-Elly's in Eureka, winner of this week's West County Food Fight, Battle Nachos. When we closed the poll on Friday, the Eureka landmark led the pack with 26 percent of vote — not a majority, but the clear favorite among the six finalists. The other finalists were: Wildwood Pub & Grill with 14 percent of the vote; PM-BBQ in Chesterfield with 13 percent; Senor Pique in Ballwin with 11 percent; Lester's Sports Bar and Grill in Chesterfield with 18 percent; and Iggy's Mexican Cantina with 16 percent (may not total 100 percent because of rounding).
