Home Depot Named 'Green Team' by Chesterfield Environment Committee
The business was recognized for its participation in recycling events by the Citizen's Committee for the Environment at a recent Chesterfield City Council Meeting.
The City of Chesterfield recently recognized Home Depot for their contributions to sustainability initiatives by giving them the Citizens Committee for the Environment’s Green Team Award. The all-volunteer committee organizes several environmentally friendly events throughout the year, such as Earth Day and American Recycles Day, and recognized the Home Depot in Chesterfield for their participation in these activities for the last several years during a city council meeting Feb. 20. The Home Deport collected CFL and fluorescent light bulbs and tool battery packs for recycling at these events, the most recent of which was so popular that the city organized a second day to accommodate a surge in turnout.
