Chesterfield police said the forged papers were intended to hide the true arrest history of the applicants.
A pair of job seekers who tried to hide their true criminal records from a potential employer in Chesterfield may be making them even longer. Police said a 49-year-old female and a 67-year-old female were applying for a job in private care when they submitted fake documentation from St. Louis County intended to show that they had done a background check on themselves prior to applying. The incidents occurred on two separate dates, first on Jan. 12 and again on Jan. 14, in the 200 block of Ambridge Court. The two suspects are being charged with fraud and police said the forged papers were an attempt to hide their arrest history. Read more Chesterfield crime stories:
