Chesterfield Exec Receives 78-Month Sentence for Fraud, Embezzlement

Dunard Morris, a former business manager of Metropolitan Urological Specialists, had pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges and was sentenced Friday. The practice has locations throughout the St. Louis area, including West County.

A former executive for Metropolitan Urological Specialists received a 78-month prison sentence Friday after admitting to embezzling millions of dollars from the company.  Dunard Morris was sentenced on three felony counts of mail and wire fraud after pleading guilty to the charges in September. He was also ordered to pay $5.6 million in restitution.  Federal Prosecutors said Morris repeatedly increased his own base salary from MUS, without authorization or disclosure to shareholders, and granted himself hundreds of thousands of dollars in unauthorized, undisclosed  bonuses and reimbursements. The indictment points to a high-flying lifestyle for Morris, who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on meal and entertainment expenses incurred …

Guilty Plea in Metropolitan Urological Specialists Fraud Case

Dunard Morris, a former business manager of Metropolitan Urological Specialists, pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges, according to prosecutors. The practice has locations throughout the St. Louis area, including West County.

Dunard Morris, 49, pled guilty to mail and wire fraud involving his embezzlement of millions of dollars from Metropolitan Urological Specialists, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. According to a the news release issued by prosecutors, Morris pled guilty to three felony counts of mail and wire fraud and is set to be sentenced Dec. 14. Mail and wire fraud each carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000, the U.S. Attorney's Office stated. Accused Embezzler In Custody

Suspect in Chesterfield case doesn't make bail.

A man accused of stealing millions of dollars from doctors he worked for in Chesterfield, was in custody Tuesday after appearing in U.S. Federal Court in St. Louis. Dunard Morris, 48, apparently could not make $50,000 bail, according to a tweet by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch daily newspaper. His arraignment was scheduled for Friday. The former manager of Metropolitan Urological Specialists with offices at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield was indicted Feb. 29 on five felony counts of mail and wire fraud and one count of stolen valor, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Eastern Missouri said in a written statement.
