Highway 40 was completely backed up in both directions Friday afternoon after a police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis ended in Town and Country, just east of Chesterfield, when the suspect vehicle rolled over along the highway. According to Town and Country Police Captain Gary Hoelzer, it began with a pursuit by Lake St. Louis police who were chasing a stolen car wanted in connection to organized retail thefts.
