The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on work zones in the St. Louis area for February 14-20.
Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane in each direction on the Poplar Street Bridge starting Monday for bridge inspection. The lanes on the bridge will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. Crews will use a snooper truck to look at the bridge’s foundation and supporting steel. The inspection will last approximately three weeks. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:
Be aware of slow-moving vehicles painting stripes on roadways during non-peak traffic hours.
Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close two lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 from Jefferson Avenue to the Poplar Street Bridge this weekend to paint portions of the bridge. All ramps from the interstate will remain open to allow drivers to get to the various events in downtown St. Louis. In addition, several nighttime ramp closures are planned for the week on Interstate 70 and Page Avenue. All work is weather permitting.
