Wednesday, high school athletes in a variety of sports will be putting pen to paper and making official their pledge to play football, soccer, baseball and other sports at the college level. Particularly in the world of college football, "National Signing Day" has turned into something of a holiday for fans eager to find out if their favorite college program will get the top "blue-chip" recruits. With so many schools in the area, there's no way we can get to all of them, which is where you come in. Marquette Field Hockey Players Sign With Colleges

Four seniors at Marquette High School made official plans this month to play Division I field hockey.

A strong performance from the Marquette High School girls field hockey team earned them the winningest-record in the team's history and a top-four finish in the state tournament. Now, the accomplishments of four of the team's top contributors last fall have earned the lady Mustangs the chance to compete at the highest collegiate level. Christine Albertelli has signed with University of New Hampshire. Albertelli started her last three years with the team and captained her senior year on the tails of all-conference honors her last two seasons. In 2010, Albertelli was a 1st team All-Metro player, and was nominated for the NFHCA All-Region/All-American team. She also is a member of the NFHCA High School National Academic squad.
