Chesterfield Teacher Falls Short in Jeopardy! Tournament
The Ritenour High German teacher was a quarter-finalist, but missed in his bid to advance after earning a spot in the quiz show’s tournament of champions last year.
A Chesterfield German teacher came up short in his bid to advance in the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions when he trailed two other competitors on the episode that aired this afternoon. Patrick Quinn, who teaches at Ritenour High in Overland, had advanced to the tournament after winning the teachers’ tournament and a $100,000 prize back a year ago. He came in last in his round that aired on Tuesday. The winner of Tuesday’s round, who advances to the semi-finals, was Dave Leach, a game merchant from Atlanta. Quinn briefly held the lead at the end of the first round with $4,600; to $4,400 for Ashok Poozhikunnel, an underwriter from Wheaton, IL; to $3,200 for Leach.
