A construction manager with the hamburger chain said their anticipated starting date has been kicked back to later this summer.
If your stomach started growling when you first heard the news that Wendy's would be opening a Chesterfield location, be prepared to deal with the noise a little longer. The national chain's construction manager Andy Blackburn told Patch this week that they are aiming to break ground in the first half of May and anticipate opening in late August early September. That's several months back from the June/July start date the company predicted in February. The restaurant will be located on Chesterfield Airport Road across from Villa Farotta and next to a new Valvoline Oil Change shop that is coming close to completion. Blackburn said the Wendy's will have a drive-thru and be approximately 3,300 square feet. While it would be the only one of …

The fast food chain said if all goes well, they could be open by June or July.
Originally announced early last summer, the Wendy's Restaurant planned for Chesterfield is nearing final approval and officials with the fast food chain said they hope to start construction in March or April. Wendy’s Construction Manager Andy Blackburn said once they are underway, construction will proceed quickly with an opening possible by June or July “if all goes well.” The restaurant will be located on Chesterfield Airport Road across from Villa Farotta and next to a new Valvoline Oil Change shop. “We don’t have a strong presence in the Chesterfield area and our Real Estate team has spent a great deal of time looking for the best site to place a new Wendy’s restaurant in Chesterfield,” Blackburn said in an email to Patch. “The …

Construction has already begun on the oil change shop with Wendy's expected to start soon.
A development near the intersection of Chesterfield Airport Road and Public Works Drive is bringing Chesterfield its first Wendy's Restaurant along with a Valvoline Oil Change Shop. Construction has begun on the Valvoline station, which is located just west of Villa Farotto, with the building's cement foundations already poured. Crews were out in the gray, chilly weather Monday and a representative with general contractor Thill Contracting said he expects the oil change shop to open in mid-March. Chesterfield Chief Engineer Aimee Nassif said work should begin soon on the Wendy's as well. The project was initially approved over the summer but was then delayed when some minor changes were made to the site plan. It would mark the first …

On the corner of Manchester Road and Seven Trails Drive, in Ballwin.
A Wendy's Hamburger eatery is set for construction on a busy corner in Ballwin, where there used to be a Rothman furniture store. It's Manchester Road and Seven Trails Drive/Reis Road. Yes, the corner is in Ballwin, but Chesterfield Patch has had several inquiries from users about what is going on at the big empty lot. Chesterfield Valley is getting its own Wendy's, since they got the green light this Spring from the city. It will be next to a new Valvoline, along Chesterfield Airport Road, where several dilapidated barns stood.

That is the one I was thinking of. The area where Chesterfield/Clarkson Valley/Ellisville meet trips up our Patch listing map, which incorrectly says the Five Guys on 15869 Fountain Dr. is in Chesterfield. I've contacted our support team to see if we can get it fixed.   more ›
