Chesterfield Crash Killed Wildwood Woman Wednesday

A four-car pileup on I-64/40 near Clarkson Road turned deadly Wednesday afternoon.

Police identified a woman killed in a multi-car crash on Interstate 64 Wednesday afternoon as Laura Dunn, 48, from Wildwood, reported by KSDK near midnight. Dunn died after the car she was driving was rear-ended while traveling westbound on I-64 just east of Clarkson at 3:42 p.m., according to Chesterfield police. Traffic was diverted onto Chesterfield Parkway East. Dunn's vehicle was pushed into the path of an oncoming Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by 57-year-old James Saale of Chillicothe, MO; the chain reaction pushed her car into a fourth car and into a ditch. Grand Jury Indicts DWI Driver In Esrock Fatal Crash

Chesterfield resident Patrick McCormick to be arraigned on charges Nov. 9 in St. Louis County courts.

A St. Louis County Grand Jury indictment was unsealed in court last week in connection with the crash that killed Chesterfield resident and Whitfield School teacher Janet Esrock. McCormick is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 9 on the two criminal counts in St. Louis Circuit Court. The indictment against Patrick McCormick, 53, of Chesterfied, includes identical criminal charges to those filed by prosecutors in the case, First Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and Second Degree Assault, according to the office of state courts administrator website CASENET. The indictment came down on Wed., Oct. 19, according to CASENET. Authorities said McCormick was intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the road August 26 when he struck a car driven by …
