Home-Invasion Suspect Has an August Court Date

Chesterfield couple was attacked at home in February.

A man who served time for previous crimes and is now accused in an armed home-invasion robbery of a Chesterfield couple has a new court date set for August 2, in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Richard J. Lynch, 42, of O'Fallon, was in jail on $250,000 bond since a March 1 arrest in Chesterfield, when police spotted him in a car.  The most recent court date was June 29, and the upcoming August date is a continuation or re-scheduling of what is described as "hearings" and "settlement conferences" on casenet.org It's set for August 2, 9am in Judge Thea A. Suspect In Home Invasion of Jeweler Awaits May 25 Court

Convicted robber to have settlement conference over latest charge of armed assault on Chesterfield jeweler and wife.

A 47-year-old man charged with 10 counts in the armed home invasion robbery of a Chesterfield jeweler and his wife, now has a May 25 court date for a settlement conference. Richard James Lynch, the suspect, was released six months earlier from 17 years in prison for two burglaries and one robbery according to court records, when he was arrested as a suspect in the February 25 Chesterfield home invasion robbery. Lynch was listed with an O'Fallon address between release from prison and the return to jail after this latest arrest. The upcoming settlement conference for Lynch would typically be the start of discussions among attorneys and the court over how to proceed in the case. Chesterfield Armed Home Invasion Robbery Suspect On the Loose

Police offer $5,000 reward for public's help.

$5,000 reward for help in finding Chesterfield armed home invasion robbery suspect! The Chesterfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect from an armed robbery which occurred on Thursday 2/16/2012 at approximately 10:15PM in the 13000 block of LaBarge Drive. LaBarge Drive is in a subdivision east of Woods Mill Road near Olive Boulevard, with an entrance near St. Louis Chinese Christian Church.  The victim was met at his residence by a suspect armed with a gun and forced inside his home where he and his wife were robbed of various items of jewelry.
