The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce is launching a new look to complement its expansion into the mobile realm and provide the organization with its own unique branding. The chamber recently unveiled the new logo and Executive Director Nora Amato said businesses can except to see it everywhere the group is active. She said a variety of factors influenced the decision to create it. “In doing our new mobile app, we realized the [old logo] wasn’t very visual,” she said. “We needed our own identifier and we needed something very digital.” To come up with the look, the chamber recruited the services of a retired graphic designer who had previously done branding for national businesses. The 22nd annual event will feature more than 75 display booths along with give-aways, raffle prizes and food.
The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce 22nd annual Business EXPO and Showcase is set for March 5 this year at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center. This event offers over 75 display booths and draws 100 of attendees. Business representatives are encouraged to invite co-workers and clients to attend the free networking event to build relationships benefitting their organization. The Business EXPO & Showcase is also an excellent opportunity for attendees to view product demonstrations and speak face-to face with industry professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. A troop from Chesterfield Elementary School recently visited with local Chamber of Commerce officials and businesswomen to learn about being a business owner.
Girl Scouts from Chesterfield Elementary School recently visited the offices of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce as part of an effort to earn their “Business Owner” badge. The troop met Chamber Executive Director Nora Amato and Membership Director Bridget Nations to learn about the role the organization plays in the Chesterfield community. They also had an opportunity to meet with Wendy and Sarah April of Crown Trophy, who talked about being a business owner. Participating students included Sara Morganthaler, Abigail Shanklin, Hannah Long, Shannon Worley, Clare Wilkins, Emily Budder, who are all fifth graders at Chesterfield Elementary, with the exception of Wilson, who attends Babler Elementary. The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce named Lindell Bank CEO and President Leon Hall "Businessperson of the Year" for 2012 and Lindell Bank as "Business of the Year" during its first 2013 membership meeting Wednesday. Bridget Nations has been tapped for the position. The Chamber has a membership of more than 700 commercial, industrial, retail and professional firms and represents more than 27,000 employees.
Bridget Nations has been named the new membership director of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce. Nations' business experience includes retail and marketing, and she has spent the past twenty years in Montessori education in Chesterfield. Nations is a life-long St. Louisan. She was raised in Webster Groves, and attended Villa Duchesne and Maryville University. She has been married for 21 years, and has four children. She also has a great deal of experience volunteering in the Chesterfield community. As a member of Ascension Parish, she has served as President of the Parish Council, as well as the Ascension Mother’s Club, the school board, and presently, President of the Ascension Athletic Association.
