Five Parkway Teachers Obtain National Board Certification

Five Parkway School District teachers recently achieved National Board Certification -- the "gold standard" for teaching excellence.

The following information was supplied by the Parkway School District: Five Parkway School District teachers recently achieved National Board Certification -- the "gold standard" for teaching excellence.  The teachers and their schools are:  National Board Certified Teachers are highly accomplished educators who meet high and rigorous standards.  Like board-certified doctors and accountants, teachers who achieve National Board Certification have done so through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment and peer review. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) is recognized as the source for the highest standards and practices that lead to improved teaching, leading and learning. 14 Rockwood Teachers Earn National Board Certification

Two of these 14 Rockwood School District educators work in Marquette High School in Chesterfield. Nearly 100 now are certified.

Fourteen additional Rockwood School District teachers earned the profession’s top honor in teaching excellence—National Board Certification—according to a district announcement.
