ReplyJust to clear up any confusion, I'm taking the word typical out of quotes because it was not a direct quote. Pool was trying to make the point that she hasn't heard from residents who are not deeply rooted to a side in this case, pointing to the fact that before she became involved in city government, she didn't scour every city council meeting agenda for every last detail like an activist or a reporter might.
We'll have plenty of coverage from the meeting, to be sure. -

ReplyEllisville Mom, unrelated to this story, I've checked with the district about attendance zones and was told that Rockwood students from Ellisville and Ballwin attend Marquette and Lafayette. We're happy for all the schools which made the list!

ReplyMr. Kent, you are correct. Nothing is free. But it is a service that costs nothing else extra to the resident. My apologies if that hasn't been clear in the reporting, which always strives for accuracy. That's the great thing about comments is that you can flesh out points that sometimes don't make it into the original piece.

ReplyFlyoverland, to the meeting's credit...both of those points were brought up...that there are people who don't use other city services and still contribute to them through taxes, as well as the importance of having city services are in step with older residents in the community.
