St. Louis Civic Orchestra, Neighbor

We are a true civic orchestra, 75 volunteer and professional musicians devoted to our avocation, the performance of traditional, holiday and pops orchestral music. Our mission is to promote and preserve the world's greatest musical creations through live performances in our community.

Founded in 1949, the Orchestra performs three traditional concerts from the classical music repertoire each year. One concert features the winner of the Florence Frager Young Artist Competition. In addition, the Orchestra performs one holiday pops concert in December and a free outdoor pops concert in May.

The Orchestra performs primarily at Logan College's William D. Purser Center and in the City of Chesterfield Amphitheater.
