Bungled Burglary at Firehouse Subs Comes Up Empty

A recent "smash-and-grab" at the Chesterfield restaurant turned out to be all smash, no grab.

The Firehouse Subs restaurant in Chesterfield, which opened last spring, has been the target of a bungled burglary.

Police reported that an unknown individual smashed the front window of the business at around 3 a.m. June 18 and then attempted to open a safe inside the store.

The would-be thief was ultimately unsuccessful and nothing was taken from the business, police said. It’s also unknown what object may have been used to break the window.Β
