Backstoppalooza Coming to Chesterfield Saturday

There's plenty to see and do for the weekend of Aug. 8-11 in Chesterfield and the surrounding area.

1) This weekend’s big event will be the city of Chesterfield’s first Backstoppalooza concert at the Chesterfield Amphitheater. Five bands will be rocking the amphitheater all day long from 3-10 p.m. with all proceeds to benefit the Backstoppers charity.

2) Feast in the Park travels to Chesterfield Thursday with food trucks setting up shop in Faust Park from 5-8 p.m. There will also be live music from the Ralph Butler Duo from 5-7 p.m.

3) If you have some free time this weekend, it might be worth exploring volunteering at the Sophie M. Sachs Butterfly House in Chesterfield. The organization is looking for people who love to interact with children to serve as an Education Docent.

4) Residents with a sweet tooth will want to visit the Dairy Queen location in Chesterfield Mall on Thursday for an opportunity to help out a good cause. The restaurant chain will be donating a dollar for each Blizzard purchased to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
